a fanlisting

A fanlisting is a group of people who like something: i.e. a group of people who like wolves. All a fanlisting is is a list of fans to do with that particular person, item, or object; it joins together people with similar interests.

Minnie Mouse

Minnie Mouse, full name being Minerva, is one of the mascots of The Walt Disney Company. Minnie is often identified by wearing a pink or polka dot red and white hairbow. She first appeared alongside Mickey Mouse in 1928 in Plane Crazy, but it was Steamboat Willie and its use of synchronised sound that threw Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse into the spotlight (as well as it being the first of the Mickey shorts to be distributed). Since Minnie's first appearance she has almost always been portrayed as Mickey's significant other, and their relationship has lasted well over eighty years since their creation. Minnie is also often portrayed as being the best friend of Daisy Duck, and she owns a cat, Figaro.

Minnie herself is typically kind hearted, if not a bit stubborn. She has a mind of her own and doesn't mince words when need be. She is often quite romantic, and likes to spend time with Mickey and is completely dedicated and loyal to him. Even if she plays the role of damsel in distress on occasion, she is always strong willed. She is, generally, in my opinion, a loveable character and definitely one of my favourite Disney creations.

In all current cartoons, films, and video games, Minnie is voiced by Russi Taylor.

Why

Minnie has always been a particular favourite of mine. I like her style, her dedication, and her loyalty. I love her attitude. I love how she can be portrayed as being completely in love and just generally being romantic, but it's always sweet - it just tends to make me smile. She also holds a dear place in my memory and my time as a child, as she was always then, my favourite Disney mascot. She completely deserves a fanlisting, and I'm glad to be able to run it and share my love for her.

Leading Lady

Because, she is! Since her first appearance opposite Mickey, she has being the lead heroine; opposite Mickey, she has been and always will be his leading lady.
